Account data: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and profile picture Google shares with us.

Profile data you choose to add: display name, age, location, a short bio, photos and dating preferences. All of it is optional and you can delete it at any time.

Newsletter data: your email address, the language you were reading in, and where you subscribed from.

Support data: the questions you type into the support bubble, so we can answer the ones our site could not.

Technical data: basic, aggregated usage information and the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in.

To give you an account and a profile, to send the weekly newsletter you asked for, to answer your questions, to keep the service secure, and to understand which reviews people actually find useful.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with dating platforms. We do not use your profile to advertise to you.

Consent for the newsletter and optional cookies. Contract for running your account. Legitimate interest for security and for basic aggregated analytics.

Account and profile data until you delete your account. Newsletter data until you unsubscribe. Support questions for up to 24 months. Aggregated analytics indefinitely, because it is not linked to you.

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, withdraw consent, or object to processing. Email privacy@dater.com and we act within 30 days. See our GDPR page for the detail.

Dater.com is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor we delete it.

We use a hosting and database provider to run the site and store your data, and an email provider to send account emails and the newsletter. They process data only on our instructions.

If we change this policy materially we will say so on this page and, for subscribers, in the newsletter.
